We recommend using a Discmate when twin mounting an Alcoa® Wheel and a Steel wheel to help prevent galvanic corrosion which dramatically reduces the life span of the Aluminium wheel. The Discmate can also be used to help protect the wheel mounting surface by using it between a hub and Alcoa® Wheel, this is suited to certain applications where excessive corrosion can be a problem, this also can help to prevent the wheel becoming stuck to the hub. Likewise the use of a Discmate when fitted between twinned Alcoa® wheels will also help reduce the surface damage between the mounting faces. We do recommend these also on vehicles that do a limited mileage (ie show trucks) as it does help keep the wheels in a good order. These Discmates are available for 10 Stud wheels. The 10 stud fitment is suitable for use with 22.5″ diameter wheels.
