How it started

Tyretracks was started in 1985 by Chris’ Parents, Geoff & Ann Hopton. Their first premises was Marchington Industrial Estate (where our Marchington branch still is today) along with another premises in the old High Street Garage in Eccleshall.

Chris and his wife Claire took over the company in 2002 and the company has achieved considerable growth over the past years to where the company is today, this included a couple of moves, each time to larger premises. The Stafford Branch is now based just off the M6 motorway at Junction 14 (ST16 3EQ) where they moved in April 2015, whilst also continuing with the Marchington Branch, which is still at the same premises where it all began.

Since taking over the company, Chris and the company have won numerous awards within the tyre and Alcoa® Wheels industry. Tyretracks (Eccleshall) Ltd became the UK Distributor for the world-famous Alcoa® Wheels in 2013 and has gone on to achieve the status of being the largest Alcoa® Wheel Distributor within Europe.

We are also extremely proud that we have also achieved ‘Premium Distributor’ status from Alcoa® Wheels, this is the highest status given by Alcoa® Wheels and one in which everyone in the company worked extremely hard to achieve.

Tyretracks is very well known within the tyre and wheel industry, having had nearly 40 years in the business it really does show they are true experts at what they do. Investing in the best equipment and along with the specification of their Mobile tyre fitting vans really does show their commitment to the industry.

With 14 vehicles currently on the road, Tyretracks can assist you with your Tyre needs on site. These vehicles can offer a fully mobile fitting service from both the Stafford Branch and Marchington Branch and for account customers this service is offered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We offer nationwide fitting of the famous Alcoa® Wheels meaning we can fit them on site at your premises.

Staff are trained to the highest of standards through the Michelin training centre, this has helped Tyretracks grow from strength to strength in a very competitive industry.

Here at Tyretracks we really do strive to provide a complete and thorough service to our customers, and we pride ourselves so we can supply almost any tyre or wheel.

We wouldn’t be able to do any of this without our fantastic staff, we have a great team and some of our staff members have been working here for over 25 years.

The 3^rd generation of the Hopton family are now greatly involved within the business, with Chris and Claire’s children, Tommy, and Annabelle, who are both directors, now being part of the team.
