Dura-Bright wheels do not need polishing. Regular washing with soap and water will keep them shiny, even after hundreds of washes and many thousands of miles. Dura-Bright is not a coating, but a surface treatment that penetrates the aluminium and becomes an intergral part of the wheel. It will not chip, crack, peel or corrode, like conventional coatings on other aluminium or steel wheels do.

Alcoa Workhorse: Disc brake protection and increased wheel load

In response to customers' needs and market demand, Alcoa Wheel products developed a wheel for European construction vehicles with disc brakes. This new wheel is designed without ventilation holes to protect the drive/front axle disc brakes from sand and gravel. Meanwhile this Workhorse wheel has found its way to various other applications, including trailers. This special wheel design brings Alcoa customers true added value through the reduction of maintenance costs, increased brake life and improved performance. Due to it's stronger design, the fatigue life for these wheels has also been increased. Mounting characteristics for the Workhorse wheels are the same as for standard wheels. Workhorse wheels are available in Brushed finish.

Alcoa Dura-Flange:Additional protection for an even longer service life

Alcoa Dura-Flange wheels have a patented treatment that provides a protective shield to prevent flange wear. Alcoa Dura-Flange wheels are the only wheels on the market that are protected from this type of wear, giving them at least double the life time of other aluminium wheels under the same conditions. Road test results: we put Dura-Flange wheels to the test and found that after 240.000km, there were no signs of rim flange wear.

This treatment makes Dura-Flange wheels most appropriate for transport where loads are heavy and prone to shifting, causing the tyre bead to rub against the wheel flange.
